Located in one of Arcata's buildings dating back to the 1920's, 3-Foods has an old timey feel with their wooden table settings and interior design. In the corner of the room, center of photo, is a lounge area. Stop in to enjoy good cheer, read, or meet some friends and...perhaps enjoy a glass of Oregon wine? The view from the back corner table. The bar serves Oregon and local wines and also mixes up cocktails. Wines from Geolink are all served by the glass or bottle. The kitchen is seen off to the left. Be sure and say hi to the chefs! Located behind the Arcata Co-Op, 3 Foods Cafe sets up a lunch patio Tuesday through Friday. Live theatre has been known to spontaneously occur.
Even the West wall has a story. When this building was constructed in the early 20th century, it was common practice to divide buildings with massive barrier walls. These walls consist of rough cut redwood 2X6 or 2X8 boards stacked vertically along the length of the wall. This was a method of fire and noise protection. |
